The meaning behind Gaia
In Greek Mythology, Gaia is the ancestral mother of all life.
When I was giving birth, I felt so connected to a power larger than me. I often thought about others who were giving birth at the same time to find encouragement that it was possible. That it had been done for ages. That everything in this life came from an act like this—through this rite of passage that is birth.
