New York City Birth & Family Photography
Your birth story deserves to be told.
what if…
You didn’t have to worry about your partner fumbling with blurry phone photos and they could just focus on being present during the arrival of your baby.
You had physical memories that preserved the details of one of the most important days of your life to share with loved ones who couldnt be in the room with you and generations to come.
Whichever way your birth unfolded, you had the ability to go back and relive it. It can be incredibly empowering if it went positively, and sometimes healing if it didn’t go as hoped.
birth photography is usually docu-style, like wedding photography
but for an (arguably) even more important day.
"Imagine if our culture told us that birth was one of the greatest things we might ever do. Imagine if the stories and images we were exposed to taught us that labor is an incredible and transformational experience, a rite of passage into parenthood.”

If you are having cervical checks done, when you are about 6-7 cm dilated (depending on your history of labors.) If you are not having cervical checks done, I tell clients to let me know when contractions are getting closer together and much more intense! Usually, if it’s getting hard to talk through contractions, that's a good time I head your way.

It’s your birth, so totally up to you! If you don't want any crowning shots, you can ask me not to take those images beforehand. We have plenty of time to talk about your boundaries and preferences ahead of time.

Definitely not! I love sharing my work and destigmatizing all kinds of birth, but I respect everyone’s privacy. I always ask before I share any images. Everything you see on my site or social media has been approved beforehand.
Your birth, artfully captured.
The first step is checking if your due date is available. Then, we’d schedule a time to talk through all the logistics and answer your questions.
